4. Check your home or office for cracks or holes in walls, your foundation, and vents. If you find any, fill or seal them as soon as possible to prevent termites, roaches, and other pests.
5. Inspect food packets for worms, beetles, moths, and other pests before you buy them.
6. Try and keep your garden away from your home or office building as it will prevent pests to find an easy way indoors.
7. Fix all leaking pipes or faucets as stagnant water can breed all kinds of pests.
8. Remove any scrap wood inside or outside your home or office to prevent termites and beetles.
9. De-clutter your home at regular intervals as clutter gives more room to pests to hide.
10. Put nets on your windows and doors. This will give you fresh air without worrying about the pests invading.
11. Examine your pets for fleas or ticks as they can spread quickly once infested.
12. Using certain essential oils can ward off some pests.
13. Don't hoard anything that can hold water like tyres, empty and useless buckets, bottles, etc. Discard them immediately.
14. Don't STAMP: Stamping on cockroaches can spread their eggs, and there are between 16-30 nymphs inside every egg case!
15. Get a good vacuum cleaner for difficult places where you cannot reach but pests can.
